We had a great garage event at Auto Avantgarde. Around 15 cars attended the event, accompanied by the members.

Greg and the team at Avantgarde were warm and friendly. They made espresso coffees for us and put on sausage rolls and pies for those who were peckish. AV workshop is large and there were lots of interesting cars in various states of repair.

There were 4 hoists available for us and soon the first cars were up on the hoists and showing mostly clean undercarriages. The AV team was on hand to help and give advice.

Personally it was fascinating for me to see the evolution of suspensions between the models. Tienie’s car has air suspension and the guys gave a demo of suspension diagnostics with the car performing a bit of of dance with suspension at each wheel being pumped up and down in a sequence.

Around 11:30 we left AV for nice drive to Hallertau at Clevedon for a nice lunch together. Daryl chose a great route for us get there. We all had a great time.

Many thanks to Daryl for organising the event and for the guys at AV for their advice and hospitality. Please consider them as an option for your next service.
